Hi, friends! I'm popping in to say a quick hello from the sofa, where I've been curled up for three days battling an epic fall cold. It came on suddenly, late Sunday night, just after the last of our 23 dinner guests left for home, and the second they were out the door, I was up in bed with a cold glass of water and Netflix. The kitchen was littered with the remains of our Thanksgiving dinner, but I really didn't care. There was no way I could hold my head up any longer, so instead I declared the day a great success and trotted off to bed.
While I nurse myself back to health, I thought I would share something fun with you. Last Friday I had my 20-week ultrasound, and Rob and I were lucky enough to find out the gender of our baby. To surprise the boys, I stopped by a local bakery on my way home and picked up four French macarons that were colour coordinated to match the sex of their sibling. After dinner, they opened the box of treats to reveal that we're expecting...
another baby boy! It was no great shock to us, but we are thrilled to know that we will get to raise another son together. The Scotts are definitely a male dominated family (only one girl has been born in nearly 100 years), and it looks like my reign as the only female in the house is pretty much set in stone.
Now, we begin the debate for a baby name! Our boys strongly believe they have a say in helping to choose one, and they do, of course, so it'll be interesting to see where we land with four strong opions attempting to make one decision. Any suggestions?
