I know I'm supposed to be offline this week, enjoying a few days of R&R with my guys, and truth be told, that's exactly what I'm doing. I've checked in to my social media channels only twice today, refrained from any Instagram posts, and haven't Googled a single recipe or food-related topic since Friday. I'd say my Digital Diet is going well.
Having said that, I can't stop thinking about what dinner will look like next week once the older boys are back in school. September also brings a return to extra-curricular activities, high school football, and the new hockey season. In other words, it's busy, and I'm sure the same can be said for your household, which is why I'm wondering about your dinner dilemmas - assuming you have any, of course.
I know what mine is this year, but I'd love to hear about yours. Are you hoping to do more make-ahead meal prep? Looking for more freezer friendly menu ideas? 30-minute meals? One-pot dishes? Or maybe shortcut-cooking recipes are what you're in need of. You know, the ones that encourage you to pick up a rotisserie chicken or store-bought jar of pasta sauce for busy weeknight meals.
Based on the new cookbooks coming out this season, I can see there is a huge desire for more dinner recipes, strategies, and ideas, and I'm curious to know more about your specific trouble areas, if you have any? Please feel free to let me know what's on your mind when it comes to making meals. In return for your kindness, I'll choose one commenter at random at the end of the week and send them a copy of one of the books I linked to above. Have a great week!
