It's the first weekend since before Christmas that we haven't had a party or social gathering of some sort pencilled into the calendar. I can't wait to enjoy a few days of relaxation, where my plans include nothing but a little recipe testing, reading magazines, lunch with my niece, and buying Matthew his first pair of skates! The older boys are out of exams and have no homework so it's like a mini vacation for all of us this weekend. Have a great weekend, and if you feel like doing some online reading here are a few links that caught my eye this week.
Unveiling the secret of Betty Crocker.
12 five-ingredient dinners (I'm working on a 5-ingredient dinner story for SavvyMom for later this month so stay tuned for those recipes!).
The kids in his class will never forget him.
I'm not sure if this is a salad or a dessert, but regardless I'm making it this weekend because if you aren't cooking with citrus right now you are really missing out.
Also, I read this book at the beginning of January and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. It's heavy and heartbreaking, yet equally as incredible and inspiring. I also read this and this (forever and ever a Gilmore Girls fan!) in January. Gosh, I might have to start doing a monthly post on what I read each month because I have so much more to say about all of these titles!
