What are you up to this weekend? We're heading into our second Saturday in a row with few plans on the calendar and it's ah-mazing. I've been doing a lot of recipe testing for my next book, but other than that we've been keeping things really low key. Here's what caught my eye this week:
"My kids did not die from too many meals of plain buttered pasta."
Taking the dread out of cooking dinner.
Why do (North) Americans refrigerate their eggs?
I made this beefaroni for Matthew's birthday dinner. While not a simple dish to put together, it certainly was a tasty one, especially when paired with a robust red wine. I'll definitely make it again.
"Don’t ever let someone convince you that cooking a meal for your kids— or anyone else for that matter— is one more thing to check off the to-do list. Every time you feed someone, you’re offering love, security, comfort, therapy, and memories shrouded in happiness and warmth. It’s no small thing."
Have a wonderful weekend!
