Two of my nieces slept over a few weeks ago. They enthusiastically spend the night planning their pancake and smoothie breakfast for the following day, which we executed flawlessly early the next morning. After dousing their plates in maple syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles, the 4-year-old ate one bite, pushed her plate away and told me my raspberry banana smoothie tasted like it had dirt in it. I love her and her hilarious honesty so much! Kids really are the best.
Have a great weekend... here are a few links that caught my eye last week:
Eat like your grandma!
This very easy dinner party is really smart and sounds like a lot of fun.
I love this series dedicated to feeding babies. The broccoli balls are on Matthew's lunch menu next week.
I'm making this for dinner next week.
These naturally dyed Easter eggs are so beautiful!
A smarter way to make homemade almond milk.
Lastly, this charming memoir/cookbook was sent to me by a local author. If you have a love of family, food and traditions/rituals (hmm... sounds like someone I know!) I think you might enjoy it. You can purchase a copy via her website and read more about her family and recipes on her blog.
P.S. I'll be back early in the week with a great new dinner recipe!
